WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman Kylie Porter (North Canton/Hoover) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the first time in her collegiate career.
Porter earned the honor after finishing runner-up in a field of 31 golfers at the Donald Ross Invitational, hosted by John Carroll University at Manakiki Golf Course and Shaker Heights Country Club. Her performance helped guide BW to a third-place team finish.
She secured second place by carding rounds of 80 and 82 for a two-day total of 162.
Through five invitationals and six rounds this season, Porter leads the Yellow Jackets with an 80.33 stroke average. She has twice recorded a career-low round of 79, most recently in the opening round of the Heidelberg University Fall Invitational at Fostoria Country Club on September 12.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday and Sunday, October 4–5, at the John Carroll University Fall Invitational, held at Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby Hills.
