Supers Garners Fourth Career OAC Men’s Wrestler of the Week Accolade

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the second time this season and for the fourth time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American and No. 4 nationally ranked 165-pound men's wrestler Andrew Supers (Medina) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Wrestler of the Week.

Supers earns his second weekly honor of the season after winning the 165-pound title with a record of 5-0 at the Tom Jartman Spartan Mat Classic hosted by Manchester (Ind.) University last Saturday helping No. 15 nationally ranked BW to second place finish.

He opened the invitational with back-to-back pins over Justin Sweeney of Case Western Reserve University in 3:42 and Isaac Barba of Joliet (Ill.) Junior College in 1:02.  Supers claimed his 100th career victory as he posted an 18-3 technical fall over Ryan Bergman of the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.  He closed out the day with back-to-pack wins over James Haas of NAIA Thomas More (Ky.) University in 3:33 and over Christian Friel of John Carroll University in the championship match in 2:41.  

This season, Supers leads the team with a record of 27-2.  He leads the squad with nine technical falls, tied for the team lead in pins with 10, and is tied for second on the squad with five major decisions.

For his career, Supers ranks 17th on the school's all-time wins with a record of 102-16.  He is a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference first team selection and two-time NCAA qualifier. Supers earned his first All-American honor last season with a fourth place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships. He was also the OAC Men's Wrestler of the Week on November 24, 2025, January 27, 2025, and February 5, 2024. Supers has compiled 28 pins, 28 technical falls and 16 major decisions.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Tuesday, January 20 when they travel to New Concord for an OAC match against Muskingum University in Performance Arena inside the Anne C. Steele Center at 7 p.m.
