Women’s Indoor Track and Field Earns First in Several Events at Case Western Reserve

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's indoor track and field team finished the Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Meet at Case Western Reserve inside the Veale Convocation, Recreation, and Athletic Center in an unscored meet.

Track Event Highlights
  • Sophomore All-OAC sprinter/hurdler Kenae Moore (Cypress, Texas/Bridgeland) set a PR in both the 60m dash prelims and finals while finishing in first place in the finals with a 7.91 second time. She now holds the second-best time in the OAC.
  • Moore also took first place in the 200m dash with a time of 26.22 seconds.
  • Junior Academic All-OAC runner Abbie George (Edensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) earned first place in the 1000m run with her season-best time of 3:14.71.
  • Senior distance runner Megan Hughes (Oregon/Clay) earned a PR in the 500m dash with her first-place time of 1:20.77. Her time is now third in the OAC.

Field Event Highlights
  • Junior All-OAC jumper Rylee Gorrell (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) nailed a season-best high jump mark of 1.60m (5' 3") to take first place. Her teammates, Macy Schubach (New Riegel) and Julianna Prokop (Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity), earned second and third place with cleared heights of 1.60m (5' 3") and 1.50m (4' 11"), respectively.
  • Sophomore jumper Peyton Putnam (Shelby) took first place in the pole vault with her 3.35m (11') cleared height.
  • Sophomore thrower Delaney Friscone (Columbia Station/Columbia) won the shot put competition with a personal record 11.54m (37' 10.25") put. First-year teammate Madison Kaylor (Galloway/Hilliard Bradley) also earned a PR while placing second with a mark of 11.14m (36' 6.5").

Relay Event Highlights
  • Hughes, Moore, senior Katie Plecko (Rootstown), and first-year runner Gabby Vennetti (Boardman) earned first place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:20.71.

  • Women's indoor track and field will compete in the 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 inside Frann's Fieldhouse at Heidelberg University.
