MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis continued its winnings ways as it shutout NAIA Mount Vernon Nazarene University in a non-conference match by a final score of 7-0 on the Ramser Tennis Courts.
BW (9-1), who won its seventh straight match, won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches over Mount Vernon Nazarene (1-7)
Doubles
- Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) and senior Academic All-OAC Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) won at first doubles by a score of 6-1
- Sophomore All-OAC Vinny Cannata (Aurora) and sophomore Tyler Fenton (Williamstown, W.Va.) won at second doubles by a score of 6-4
- Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC Jacob Weingart (Tiffin/Columbian) and freshman Sevie Kretchmar (Vermillion) won at third doubles by a score of 6-1
Singles
- Horvath won at first singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-0
- Cannata won at second singles by identical scores of 6-0
- Fenton won at third singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-2
- Harders won at fourth singles by identical scores of 6-0
- Kretchmar won at fifth singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-0
- Junior Academic All-OAC Nathan Meier (Brunswick) won at sixth singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-1
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 28 when they host a men's and women's doubleheader against Westminster (Pa.) College on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 9 a.m.
