Mincey National Runner-Up in 1-Meter at NCAA Division III Diving Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) earned her first career All-American honor as she was the national runner-up in the 1-meter competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Diving Championships hosted by Indiana University at Indianapolis in the IU Natatorium.

Mincey was second of 29 divers in the 1-meter with 445.30 points.   She finished just 20.35 points behind the champion. 

Mincey becomes the first BW diver to earn All-American honors since Athletics Alumni Hall of Famer Julie Pinter '13 in 2012 when she also was the national runner-up in the same event.

Mincey is back in action on Saturday, March 21 when she competes in the 3-meter competition on the final day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Divining Championships.   Preliminary action begins at 10 a.m. with finals to be contested at 6 p.m.
