Horvath Named OAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for Second Time in Career

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the second time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC men's tennis player Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) has been named the OAC Player of the Week.

Horvath earns his second career weekly accolade after winning both his singles and doubles matches to help BW to its seventh straight win with a 7-0 victory over NAIA Mount Vernon Nazarene last Thursday.

He won at first singles by scores of by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.  Horvath then teamed up with senior Academic All-OAC performer Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) to win their match at first doubles by a score of 6-1.

This season, Horvath has nine singles victories and six doubles wins. 

For his career, Horvath has won 49 singles matches and 59 matches.  He is a three-time All-OAC first team selection.  Horvath was the OAC Player of the Week on March 11, 2024.

Off the court, he is a two-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete, Academic All-OAC honoree and Dean's List student.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 28 when they host a men's and women's non-conference doubleheader against Westminster (Pa.) College on the Pop Collins Tennis Courts at 9 a.m.
