HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team defeated Mount St. Mary College in a non-conference match by a final score of 6-1 at the Hilton Head Middle School Tennis Courts.
BW (5-1 won all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches. Mount St. Mary (1-3) won one singles matches.
Doubles
- Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference Vinny Cannata (Aurora) and sophomore Tyler Fenton (Williamstown, W. Va.) won at first doubles by a score of 6-2
- Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC Jacob Weingart (Tiffin/Columbian) and freshman Sevie Kretchmar (Vermillion) won at second doubles by a score of 7-5
- Sophomore Parker Campbell (Berlin Heights/Edison) and freshman Sam Dalessandro (Brunswick) won at third doubles by a score of 6-2
Singles
- Fenton won at first singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-2
- Harders won at second singles by scores of 6-3 and 6-0
- Kretchmar won at third singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-1
- Goff loss at fourth singles by scores of 7-5 and 6-2
- Freshman Matt Swank (Bozeman, Mont./Gallatin) won at fifth identical singles by scores of 6-1
- Junior Academic All-OAC Nathan Meier (Brunswick) won at sixth singles by scores of 6-0 and 6-2
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Thursday, March 12 when they continue their trip to Hilton Head with a non-conference match against Western New England College on the Cordillo Courts at 3:30 p.m.
