Hayley Huston (Strongsville) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Huston helped BW to a 2-0 week and was the x-factor in the comeback victory over Otterbein on the road. In the 20-5 win over Capital at home, she scored one goal and had had career bests with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. She also scored a career-best five goals in the 13-12 win over Otterbein, including the tying goal and the game winner that came with 1:42 remaining in the fourth period. BW was down 8-12 entering the fourth period, and she scored the final two goals of the five unanswered goals to win the game.
In her debut season,
Huston stands at second on the team in goals (24), assists (8), and points (32). Saturday's game-winning goal was her second of the season with the first being against Lewis & Clark (Ore.) at the start of the fourth period. She is an accounting and finance double major.
