Men’s Lacrosse Finishes with Perfect OAC Record for Second Consecutive Season

BEXLEY, Ohio -
The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team, led by Head Coach Tony Tatro, defeated Capital University by a score of 18-9 in its final OAC matchup on the road inside Bernlohr Stadium.  

The Yellow Jackets finished their second consecutive undefeated OAC regular season today. They have now won every regular season OAC game since April 3, 2024, giving them a 23-game winning streak. 

BW (13-3, 8-0 OAC) was led in goals by All-Ohio Athletic Conference junior attack/midfielder Noah Dodgion (Hilliard/Davidson), who scored five goals for the Yellow Jackets. BW was also led by All-Ohio Athletic Conference senior attack/midfield Ian Shealy (Westerville / Central), who scored four goals. Senior OAC Offensive Player of the Year Bennet Trout (Pickerington/North) along with junior All-OAC attack/midfield Paxton Allison (Redondo Beach, Calif./St. John Bosco), each scored three goals for the brown and gold. In goal for BW, sophomore goalkeeper Aidan Malone (Canal Winchester) had five saves. 

Capital (6-8, 4-3 OAC) was led by Colton Woods, who scored three goals and had one assist.  

1st Quarter (BW 4-0) 

  • Senior attack/midfield Nate Hoover (Worthington) scored the Yellow Jackets first goal of the game, unassisted  
  • BW scored four goals 
  • The Yellow Jackets won the faceoff battle by a margin of 4-1 
  • BW had 15 shots with six on goal  
  • The Yellow Jackets earned five ground balls 

2nd Quarter (CU 5-4) 

  • BW scored one goal 
  • The Yellow Jackets had eight shots with two on goal 
  • BW earned three ground balls 
  • Shealy scored BW's only goal for the second quarter 

3rd Quarter (BW 12-7) 

  • The Yellow Jackets earned seven ground balls 
  • BW scored seven goals 
  • The Yellow Jackets won the faceoff battle in the third quarter, 8-3 
  • BW had 17 shots with 10 on goal 

4th Quarter (BW 18-9) 

  • BW outscored the comets 6-2 
  • BW had nine shots with eight on goal.  
  • Capital had five turnovers compared to BW's one
