MASON, Ohio – The third-seeded Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team closed out its season as it fell to second-seeded Otterbein University in an epic Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal match by a final score of 4-2 at the Lindener Family Tennis Center.

In the OAC Tournament, the team that secures four points first wins the match and all matches on the court at the time of the winning point will be deemed as not finished. The winner of at least two doubles matches secures just one point.

Otterbein (7-9) advances to the OAC Tournament Championship game on Saturday, May 2 against top-seeded Ohio Northern University.  BW (12-5) ends its season.

Doubles

• Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC Will Horvath (Oregon/Clay) and senior Academic All-OAC Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) did not finish at first doubles with the scored tied at 4-4
• Sophomore All-OAC Vinny Cannata (Aurora) and sophomore Tyler Fenton (Williamstown, W.Va.) fell at second doubles by a score of 6-2
• Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC Jacob Weingart (Tiffin/Columbian) and freshman Sevie Kretchmar (Vermillion) fell at third doubles by a score of 6-1

Singles

• Horvath did not finish at first singles by scores of 6-4, 6-7 (4-7) and 3-3
• Cannata fell at second singles by scores of 6-3, 4-6 and 6-4
• Fenton fell at third singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-3
• Harders won at fourth singles by identical scores of 6-2
• Kretchmar fell at fifth singles by scores of 7-6 (9-7) and 6-3
• Weingart won at sixth singles by scores of 7-5 and 6-1
