Four Men’s Tennis Student-Athletes Garner CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis student-athletes have received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must have been in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.

Seniors Henry Harders (Ottawa Hills) and Will Horvath (Orgon/Clay) as well as sophomores Vinny Cannata (Aurora) and Tyler Fenton (Williamstown, W. Va.) all earned all-district honors and now advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, which will be announced on June 3, 2026.

Harders, who garners his second straight accolade, carried a 3.849 grade point average in political science.   This season, he tied second on the team with a career-high 13 singles victories for a record of 13-8.  Harders was third on the squad with a 12-7 record in doubles play.  For his career, Harders posted 37 singles wins and 46 doubles victories.  Off the court, he is a three-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete recipient, two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, Dean's list student, Jacket Scholar and a member of Chi Alpha Sigma and Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Societies.

Horvath, who earns his first honor, carried a 3.525 grade point average in engineering.  This season, he was third on the team with a singles record of 11-10.  Horvath recorded eight doubles victories.  He was named the OAC Player of the Week on March 23.   For his career, Horvath has tallied 51 singles victories and 61 doubles wins.  He ranks 21st on the school's all-time doubles wins list.  Horvath  is a two-time OAC Player of the Week Award winner. Off the court, he is a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete recipient, Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's list student, Jacket Scholar and a member of Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Cannata, who garners his first honor, carries a 3.688 grade point average in computer science and finance.  This season, he was tied for second on the team with a career-best 13 singles wins for a record of 13-9.  Cannata lead the team with a career-high tying 15 doubles victories for a record of 15-8.  For his career, Cannata has recorded 24 singles victories and 30 doubles wins.  Off the court, he is an ITA Scholar Athlete recipient, Dean's list student and Jacket Scholar.

Fenton, who earns his first honor, carries a 3.822 grade point average in sport management and business administration. This season, he led the team with a career-high 15 singles wins for a record of 15-8.  Fenton was second on the team with a career-best tying 13 doubles victories for a record of 13-11.  He was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week on March 2. For his career, Fenton has registered 18 singles victories and 26 doubles wins. Off the court, he is an ITA Scholar Athlete recipient, Dean's list student and Jacket Scholar.

BW finished the 2025-26 campaign with an overall record of 12-5 and a 1-2 mark in the OAC.  The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals.
