LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country, led by head coach
Joe Eby, earned a ninth-place team finish out of 41 teams in the 8k race at the Louisville (Ky.) Classic. The Jackets also had a top-15 finisher who earned a personal record.
Junior
Dillon Hach (Medina) was the top Yellow Jacket finisher, earned a personal record, and took 12th place out of a pool of 416 runners.
Hach, who finished in the top three percent today, improved his time from the last meet by 1:53 where he earned fourth place at the Allegheny Classic. Senior
Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) was a top-50 finisher and junior
Sage Egan (Toledo / Ottawa Hills) landed in the top 100. Both
Sikorski and
Egan earned personal-best times too.
Top BW Finishers
- Hach earned a PR with his 25:22.8 time and finished in 12th place to lead the Jackets. This is a 25-second improvement over his previous 8k PR.
- Sikorski took 32nd place while also earning a PR with his time of 25:48.0. He improved his personal-best time by 13 seconds.
- Egan finished in 86th place with a personal best time of 26:20.0 – a 28-second improvement over his previous best.
- A total of five Yellow Jackets, out of the 10 that competed, earned PR's today. This list includes sophomore Isaak Keller (Seven Kills / Normandy) and newcomer Anthony Miklos (Gibsonia, Pa. / North Allegheny).
