WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team wrapped up the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship 8k race today by finishing in third place out of nine teams.
BW had nine of their 19 runners finish in the top 50 out of 156 OAC competitors. Two of the top BW finishers earned season-best times, showing how the Jackets are committed to improvement. Third place is the highest finish in the OAC Championships by any of
Coach Joe Eby's men's cross country teams in his 11-year tenure at BW. The fifth-place finish by junior
Dillon Hach (Medina) is the highest placement by a Yellow Jacket in OAC Championships since 2015 when Brian Brennan took third place. BW's top four finishers landed in the top 20 and all earned medals.
Top BW Finishers
- Hach finished in fifth place with a team-leading time of 25:41.8.
- Senior Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) finished in 11th place with a 25:57.5 finish.
- Junior Andrew Piehler (Medina) took 14th place overall with his 26:06.6 time while earning a season-best mark.
- Fellow junior Gabe Ghering (Sunbury / Big Walnut) finished nearly side-by-side with Piehler with his 15th place season-best time of 26:07.7.
