WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore middle hitter
Josie Lynn (Wabash, Ind. / Northfield) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her BW career.
Lynn lifted the Yellow Jackets over the Denison University Big Red on Saturday while recording season-bests in kills with 12 and blocks with four. She led the team in both categories. In the Jackets' regular season finale, they earned a sweep over Denison. This marked their 11th sweep of the season out of 16 total victories. This was
Lynn's best statistical night since her return from injury.
On October 4,
Lynn made her 2025 season debut against Capital University where she played one set. She made her first start of the season against the Ohio Northern Polar Bears and made eight kills and a block while hitting .444 for a very productive night. This season has been a journey for
Lynn to return to form since her standout freshman season.
Lynn was an All-OAC honorable mention her first season and appeared in all 29 matches. She had a career-best 14 kills last September and made seven blocks in a match against Case Western Reserve the same month. The Wabash, Ind. native was the team leader in blocks with 81 total which ranked seventh in the OAC last season.
The excellent comeback of
Josie Lynn came at the right time for the Yellow Jackets as they get set to host their first OAC Tournament match since 2018 at Ursprung Gymnasium tomorrow night.
