LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team had a 20th-place team finish out of 37 teams at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in the 6k race.
The Yellow Jackets had two top-100 finishers out of seven runners competing. Ohio Athletic Conference medalist
Allie Carey (Strongsville) was the top finisher with her time of 24:12.24. Newcomer
Jillian White (Hermitage, Pa. / Hickory) finished her debut season with a 96th place time of 24:15.04. First-year
Gabby Vennetti (Boardman) earned a new PR and a 20-second improvement over her previous best, which she set last week, with her time of 24:28.7. Trine University (Ind.) finished in first place to secure the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship.
BW Top Runners
- Carey had a team-leading time of 24:12.24 to finish in 94th place.
- White landed in 96th place with a time of 24:15.04.
- Vennetti had the third-best BW finish in 106th place and a PR time of 24:28.7.
