WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Three Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer student-athletes have been selected to the 2025 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team.
Junior midfielder Braden Lamb (Cleveland/Lutheran West) was named to the first team, senior Academic All-Ohio Conference midfielder Ben McCauley (Tallmadge) was named to the second team and senior Academic All-OAC midfielder Mathew Skladany (Cleveland/St Edward) was named to third team.
Lamb earned his first All-OAC selection in his first year donning the Brown and Gold. He finished the season with one goal and four assists for six points. Lamb played in 20 out of 21 possible games in 2025, starting every single one he appeared in. Throughout the season, Lamb took 20 shots and six of them were on goal. Lamb also played the second-most minutes on the team this year with 1,689. He solidified his status as one of the dominant men's soccer players in the conference.
McCauley earned his first selection to the All-OAC team in his final season with the Yellow Jackets. He played in 20 out of 21 possible games this season. He took three shots and one of them was at the target. He played the most minutes this season for the team with only playing fewer than 90 minutes just once, playing only 87 minutes in a 2-1 loss at Penn State-Behrend. Throughout his career, McCauley played in 67 games and made 51 starts. He had six assists and took 22 shots, with 10 of them being on goal. Off the field, McCauley is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, being on this team in both 2023 and 2024.
Skladany earned his first selection to the All-OAC team in his final year at BW. He played in all 21 games this year and started every game. He scored four goals and had three assists. Skladany had the highlight of the season for the Yellow Jackets when he recorded a three-goal game in a 4-3 victory over Geneva (Pa.) College. He took 41 shots and 18 of them came on goal. Skladany finished his career playing 59 games and starting 41 of them. He scored nine goals and had 10 assists for a total of 28 points. He took 85 shots and 36 of them were on goal. Off the field, Skladany is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, earning the award in 2023 and 2024.
The Yellow Jackets concluded the season 7-12-2 and a 3-4-1 mark in OAC play. BW advanced to the OAC Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.
