Men's Soccer Chosen Sixth in Preseason OAC Coaches' Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team has been selected to finish sixth in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) preseason coaches' poll.

The Yellow Jackets come into the season with 29 points in the poll. Leading the way is Ohio Northern at 59 points. Otterbein and Mount Union are trailing them with 56 and 55 points in a very close decision for first place. After this, Wilmington and Capital are in a relatively similar spot for fourth and fifth overall, with 41 and 35 points respectively.

Led by head coach Reid Ayers in his 25th season at the helm, the Brown and Gold return twelve Academic All-OAC honorees and three All-OAC members from last year's squad that finished 7-12-2 overall with a 3-4-1 record in OAC play. BW qualified for a spot in the OAC Tournament for the first time in 11 years, where they lost to Mount Union, 4-2 after leading 1-0 for a good portion of the first half. The team is aiming for their first winning season in four years, when it finished 11-6-2 overall in 2022.

BW opens the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1, when it plays host to Allegheny (Pa.) College for a 7 p.m. kickoff, the first time they open their season at home in five years, where they defeated Wooster by a score of 3-1. The game will be streamed live on FloCollege.
