Men’s Lacrosse Makes OAC History with 14 All-OAC Selections, Led by Trout’s Offensive Player of the Year Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – In a historic display of depth and dominance, the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team earned a record-breaking 14 All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections—the most in a single season in OAC history. The milestone marks a new standard for both the program and the league. Highlighting the historic list is junior All-OAC attack Bennet Trout (Pickerington / North), who was named OAC Offensive Player of the Year after an exceptional season leading the team's high-powered attack.

Trout, who earns his third straight conference accolade, also landed on the first-team for the second time in his career after leading BW and the OAC with 50 points in conference play. He also led the Yellow Jackets and the conference with a career-high 26 assists, while placing third on the squad and eighth in the OAC with 24 goals. Defensively, Trout was third on the team after collecting 28 ground balls, while causing eight turnovers in the process. Additionally, he placed second for BW with 43 shots on goal, marking an impressive 69% shooting efficiency. During the OAC Tournament Semifinals this season, Trout surpassed the single-season goal record of 53 goals (originally set in 2019) after scoring his 54th goal. He also earned two OAC Offensive Athlete of the Week awards this year, bringing his career total to three. He appeared and started in all 19 games for the Jackets this season.

BW's additional first-team honorees are sophomore attack Noah Dodgion (Hilliard / Davidson), sophomore short stick defensive midfielder Caleb Fox (York, Pa. / Dallastown Area), junior midfielder Reichen Geiselhart (Cranberry Township, Pa. / Seneca Valley), and sophomore face-off specialist Evan Vetter (Cranberry Township, Pa. / Seneca Valley).

Dodgion receives his first All-OAC honor after becoming the all-time single-season leading scorer for BW with a total of 58 goals scored in 2025. He surpassed the single-season goal record of 53 goals (originally set in 2019) after scoring his 54th goal during the OAC Tournament Semifinals. This year, Dodgion was second in the league after leading the Yellow Jackets with 34 goals in conference play. He was also third on the team with nine assists in league action, tallying 43 points. On the ground, he racked up 20 ground balls and caused two turnovers. Dodgion led the Brown and Gold with 57 shots on goal and a 69% shooting efficiency. He appeared and started in all 19 games for BW this season.

Fox earns his first conference honor after picking up a career-high of 26 ground balls in conference play. He was also fourth on the team with a career-best of seven caused turnovers in OAC games. Offensively, Fox scored a career-high of five goals and provided his first career assist this year for a total of six points. He was efficient on goal with nine shots on target for a 64% shooting precision. He appeared in 18 games for the Yellow Jackets this season.

Geiselhart receives his first All-OAC honor after ranking second on the team and seventh in the conference with a career-high of 25 goals scored in league play. He was also fourth on the team with a career-best of 30 points and provided five assists this year. Geiselhart had solid aim towards the net with 36 shots on goal for a 60% shooting efficiency. In the defensive zone, he collected a career-high of 13 ground balls. He appeared in all 19 games and started in 18 games for the Brown and Gold this year.

Vetter earns his first conference honor after leading BW and placing third in the OAC with a career-best of 110 face-offs won (66% win percentage) in league action. In the attack zone, he scored the first goal of his career and a career-high of four assists in conference play. Additionally, Vetter led the Jackets and was tied for third in the conference with a career-best of 52 ground balls while also causing a turnover. This season, he earned his first OAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honor. He appeared in all 19 games for the Jackets.

Landing on the All-OAC second team is junior All-OAC long stick midfielder Ethan Hingson (Grand Rapids, Mich. / East Grand Rapids), senior goalkeeper Samuel LoPiccolo (Mason), sophomore defender Ben Matesic (Buffalo, N.Y. / Williamsville North), sophomore All-OAC defender Gavin Pate (Clarkston, Mich.), junior defender Louden Peters (Greensboro, N.C. / Northern Guilford), and junior All-OAC midfielder Ian Shealy (Westerville / Central). 

Hingson receives his second All-OAC honor after placing second on the squad with nine caused turnovers and picking up 16 ground balls in conference play. He also scored his first career goal this season. Hingson appeared in 18 games for the Brown and Gold.

LoPiccolo earns his first conference accolade after leading BW with 52 saves in OAC action. He also recorded a career-high 60% save percentage during league play with an 8-0 goalie record. In the defensive zone, LoPiccolo collected 21 ground balls (fifth on the team) and was tied for fifth on the squad with a career-high of five caused turnovers. He appeared and started in 17 games for BW.

Matesic receives his first All-OAC honor after career-bests of five ground balls and five caused turnovers (tied for fifth on the team) in conference action this season. He appeared in 16 games and started in 12 games for the Jackets.

Pate earns his second conference honor after leading the Yellow Jackets with 10 caused turnovers (tied for eighth in the OAC) and picking up 20 ground balls in league play this season. He appeared and started in all 19 games for the Brown and Gold.

Peters receives his first All-OAC accolade after causing five turnovers (tied for fifth on the team) and grabbing nine ground balls in OAC play this season. He appeared and started in 16 games for the Yellow Jackets.

Shealy takes home his second conference accolade after netting 11 goals and eight assists (19 points) in league action this season. On defense, he racked up five ground balls and caused a turnover. Shealy appeared in all 19 games and started in two games for BW.

Making it to the All-OAC honorable mention squad is sophomore attack Paxton Allison (Redondo Beach, Calif. / St. John Bosco), sophomore short stick defensive midfielder Ryan Frankovic (North Huntingdon, Pa. / Norwin), and junior All-OAC midfielder Jake Koonmen (Fairport, N.Y.).

Allison receives his first All-OAC honor after scoring a career-best of 19 goals (fourth on the team) and a career-high of 16 assists (second on the squad, fourth in the OAC) in league play. He totaled a personal-high of 35 points in conference games this season, ranking him third for BW and sixth in the OAC. Allison tallied a 52% shooting efficiency with 29 total shots on goal. Defensively, he picked up a career-best of 13 ground balls and caused four turnovers. He appeared and started in 18 games for the Jackets.

Frankovic earns his first conference honor after collecting a career-best of 11 ground balls and causing the first three turnovers of his career in OAC action. In the attack zone, he scored a personal-best of two goals and added two assists for a total of four points. Frankovic appeared in 16 games for the Brown and Gold.

Koonmen takes home his second All-OAC accolade after tallying nine goals and four assists (13 points) in league play this season. He also caused a career-high of five turnovers (tied for fifth on the team) while racking up four ground balls. Koonmen appeared in 18 games and started in 16 games for the Yellow Jackets.

BW was crowned the 2025 OAC Regular Season Champions for the fifth year in a row after posting a perfect 9-0 conference record and a 14-5 overall record. The program continues to flourish with a .861 OAC winning percentage and a .729 overall winning percentage throughout its 12-year history; notably under the helm of Head Coach Tony Tatro for the past four seasons.
