AUSTIN, Texas – For the second consecutive year, Baldwin Wallace University All-American high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) has been named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American for men's cross country and track & field.
Pfeiffer, who carried a 4.00 grade point average in management, was named to the first team after being selected to the second team a season ago. He becomes the 136th student-athlete in school history to earn Academic All-American recognition. Pfeiffer is the 31st Yellow Jacket to receive the award in back-to-back years, the 15th honoree from the men's cross country and track & field programs, and the fifth BW student-athlete recognized during the 2024–25 academic year.
This season, he earned All-American honors in both the indoor and outdoor high jump as he placed third indoors and second outdoors. Pfeiffer was ranked first in the Great Lakes Region in both the indoor and outdoor high jump. He was as the Ohio Athletic Conference Champion in the high jump at both indoor and outdoor championships.
For his career, Pfeiffer was a six-time OAC Champion (three each indoor and outdoor), six-time All-OAC honoree Champion (three each indoor and outdoor), six-time U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region selection (three each indoor and outdoor) and a four-time All-American.
Off the track, he was a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree, a 2024 CSC Academic All-American, USTFCCCA All-Academic selection and the 2024 Clyde Lamb Award recipient.
