BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team, led by head coach
Joe Eby, will begin their four-meet regular season with their debut race on Friday.
The 2024 Yellow Jackets placed fifth at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships and 16th at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships. They will return nine veterans from last year's team and welcome five newcomers for the 2025 season.
Key Returning Yellow Jackets
The 2025 senior class includes
Megan Hughes (Oregon / Clay),
Charlotte Jones (Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights), and
Katie Plecko (Rootstown).
Hughes was an Academic All-OAC honoree last season and posted a season-best 6k time of 25:53.5.
Jones finished her 2024 campaign strong with a season-best 6k time of 24:55.0 at the OAC Championships.
Plecko is the top returning finisher from last year's OAC Championships with her 23:36.0 time, which is only three seconds shy of her PR 6k time that she set earlier last season.
