LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the recipients of its 2026 Team Academic Award, recognizing programs that have demonstrated excellence in the classroom. Both the Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's volleyball teams earned the honor, joining 1,432 high school and collegiate programs from across the country recognized by the AVCA this year.

"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."

The AVCA Team Academic Award is open to all high school and collegiate varsity volleyball programs, including girls/boys, women/men, indoor, and beach volleyball teams.

To qualify for the award, programs must maintain a year-long team grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale), recognizing a commitment to academic achievement alongside athletic success.
