ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet to the University of Mount Union by a final score of 130-107 in the Hammond Natatorium inside the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
BW (4-2, 1-1 OAC) won five individual events. Mount Union (4-1, 2-0 OAC) won six individual events and both relays.
Individuals
- Sophomore All-OAC stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) won the 200-yard individual medley and 200-yard backstroke in times of 2:20.01 and 2:21.29, respectively
- Sophomore All-OAC diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) won the 1-meter five-dive and 1-meter and six-dive events
- Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:25.15 and took third in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:08.03
- Sophomore freestyler Amelia Wands (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle in times of 25.89 and 57.96
- Junior stroker Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) was the runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:40.30
- Freshman freestyler Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) took third in the 500-yard freestyle and 1000-yard freestyle in times of 5:52.32 and 11:55.64, respectively
Relays
- The 400-yard medley unit of Radcliff, junior stroker Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central), Upcraft and Wands took second in a time of 4:18.44
- The 400-yard freestyle squad of junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf), sophomore stroker Annalise Bolton (Berea/Berea-Midpark), freshman stroker Sydney Harbour (North Canton/Hoover) and sophomore stroker Addie Darding (Columbus/Arlington) took third in a time of
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Thursday, November 20 when they travel to Canton to compete in the first day of the three day NCAA Division II Malone University Invitational inside the C.T. Natatorium. Preliminary action is schedule to begin at 10 a.m. with finals to be contested at 6 p.m.
