CANTON, Ohio – Freshman All-Ohio Athletic Conference diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) won two events to lead the Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team to a sixth place finish at the three-day NCAA Division II Malone University Invitational inside the CT Branin Natatorium.

BW was sixth of 15 teams with 794.50 points.  NCAA Division II Gannon (Pa.) University was the champion with 1,552 points.

Individuals

• Mincey won the 1-meter and 3-meter with a total of 462.10 and 425.10, respectively.
• Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly in a season-best time of 2:16.39 and placed seventh in the 400-yard individual medley in a season-best time of 5:01.86
• Sophomore All-OAC stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) placed seventh in the 100-yard butterfly in a career-best time of 1:01.02 and finished 11th in the 200-yard individual medley in a season-best time of 2:17.01
• Junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) finished 11th in the 200-yard backstroke in a season-best time of 2:17.61
• Freshman stroker Sydney Harbour (North Canton/Hoover) finished 11th in the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best time of 1:03.08
• Sophomore All-OAC stroker Amelia Wands (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) finished 16th in 50-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 25.41 and was 18th in 100-yard breaststroke in a season-best time of 1:12.80 and took 24th in the 100-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 57.66
• Junior stroker Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) finished 14th in the 200-yard breaststroke in a career-best time of 2:35.63
• Freshman freestyler Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) finished 14th in the 1650-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 19:35.14 and was 23rd in the 500-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 5:38.86

 
Relays

• The 800-yard freestyle team of Stahlin, senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC freestyler Ariel Lisy (Strongsville), Harbour and Slife placed eighth in a time of 8:37.31
• The 200-yard freestyle squad of Wands, sophomore stroker Addie Darding (Columbus/Upper Arlington), Harbour and Radcliff was ninth in a time of 1:43.39
• The 200-yard medley quad of Radcliff, Marquardt, Upcraft and Wands was ninth in a time of 1:55.39
• The 400-yard medley unit of Harbour, Wands, Radcliff and Upcraft was ninth in a time of 4:14.50
• The 400-yard freestyle group of Wands, Slife, Darding and Upcraft was 11th in a time of 3:50.88

The Yellow Jackets are now idle until Thursday, December 18 when they take on Randolph-Macon (Va.) University in a non-conference dual meet at the Arlington Park Aquatic Complex in Sarasota, Florida.
