WESTERVILLE, Ohio – For the second time in her career and for the first time this season, Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer forward
Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Rich brings home her second weekly honor after scoring two goals and adding two assists for six total points as BW tied one game and won another to secure its spot in the OAC Tournament.
She opened the week by scoring the equalizing goal in the second half of the Yellow Jackets 1-1 tie with Heidelberg University last Wednesday.
Rich capped off the week with a goal and two assist performance in BW's 7-0 regular season ending 7-0 victory over Muskingum University last Saturday.
On the season, she has appeared all 18 games with 17 starts.
Rich leads the team and is tied for seventh in the OAC with five goals and is ninth in the league in points with 12. She as added two assists.
For her career,
Rich has played in 49 games with 47 starts. She has tallied 15 goals and 10 assists for 40 points.
The Yellow Jackets, who are the sixth-seed, are back in action Tuesday, November 4 when they travel to Wilmington for an OAC Tournament quarterfinals game against third-seeded Wilmington College on Townsend Field inside Williams Stadium at 4 p.m.
