Women's Soccer Selected Tied for Sixth in OAC Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team has been picked to finish in a tie for sixth in the 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) preseason coaches' poll.
 
The Yellow Jackets possess 28 points in the poll. Capital leads the way with 57 points in the results, with Capital and Ohio Northern rounding out the top three with 52 and 50 points, respectively. Otterbein and Mount Union are fourth and fifth place right near each other at 41 and 38 points. Marietta is tied with the Brown and Gold, at 28.
 
BW, led by tenth-year head coach Jim Wojtkun, finished with a 4-11-4 overall record in 2025 and a 3-3-2 record in OAC play. The team made it to the OAC Tournament for the first time in two years, when they lost to Wilmington by a score of 3-1 in the quarterfinal. They are aiming for their first winning season since they went 11-10 in 2021.
 
This year, the Brown and Gold return 14 Academic All-OAC honorees and three All-OAC team members from a season ago.
 
BW starts the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1 when it travels to Meadville, Pa. to take on Alleghany (Pa.) College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. They will have their home opener on Saturday, September 5 at Tressel Field at George Finnie Stadium when Pacific Lutheran (Wash.) University comes to town.
