SARASOTA, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its annual winter training trip in the Sunshine State with an unscored sprint meets with Randolph-Macon (Va.) College at the Arlington Park Aquatic Complex.
Men's Results
- Sophomore stroker Danny Murphy (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) won the 50-butterfly in a time of 24.97 and was fourth the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.46
- Sophomore stroker Mason Carnahan (Willard) was third in the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:02.00 and fifth in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 30.64
- Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference freestyler Kevin Meyer (Mentor) was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle in times of 53.44 and 1:57.28
- Senior stroker Nolan Szuch (Springboro) was fourth in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 27.56
- The 200-yard medley team of Szuch, Carnahan, Murphy and freshman freestyler Xavier Hatfield (North Royalton) finished second in a time of 1:48.88
- The 200-yard freestyle relay unit of Murphy, Carnahan, junior stroker Michael Gruber III (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) and Meyer finished second in a time of 1:36.44
Women's Results
- Sophomore All-OAC stroker Brooke Radcliff (North Canton/Hoover) finished second in the 50-yard backstroke and100-yard individual medley in times of 30.01 and 1:05.01
- Sophomore All-OAC stroker Amelia Wands (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) was third in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.31and fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 34.20
- Senior All-OAC stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) was fourth in the 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard freestyle in times of 29.16 and 1:02.01
- Freshman freestyler Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) was fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:11.70
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Radcliff, Wands, junior Academic All-OAC stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) and Addie Darding (Columbus/Upper Arlington) finished second in a time of 2:02.15
- The 200-yard freestyle relay unit of Upcraft, Darding, Radcliff and Wands finished second in a time of 1:52.08
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, January 10 when they host a non-conference dual meet against Bluffton University and an OAC meet against Heidelberg University in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 2 p.m.
