LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Four Baldwin Wallace University softball student-athletes have been named to National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region VII Team.
Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference right-handed pitcher
Marisa Hall (Paris/East Canton), junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC shortstop
Lucia Wolford (McDonald) and sophomore All-OAC left fielder
Sam Peterkoski (Berea/Berea-Midpark) were named to the first team while junior All-OAC designated player
Maddie Lester (Boardman) was selected to the second team.
Hall, who garners her first career accolade, led the OAC with a career-best 19 victories, including an 19-3 overall record.
Hall led the OAC with 136 innings pitched, tied for third in the league with allowing 26 walks and is fifth with 82 strikeouts. She had an earned run average of 2.42 and picked up two saves.
Hall earned her second career All-OAC honor earlier this season when she was named to the second team for the second straight season. She was also the OAC Pitcher of the Week on April 7. For her career,
Hall is the school's all-time wins leader with 48 career victories, including a 48-22 overall mark. She ranks third in innings pitched with 455.2 and strikeouts with 355 and is tied for fourth with 49 complete games. She is a 2024 OAC All-Tournament selection. Off the diamond,
Hall is a Dean's List student.
Wolford, who earns her first career accolade, appeared and started in all 38 games.
She was second on the team with a career-best .398 batting average (51-of-128).
Wolford led the team and is tied for fifth in the league with a career-high 13 doubles.
She was tied for the squad lead in triples with two, second in stolen bases with a career-best 14 stolen bases and tied for third in homeruns with one.
Wolford was third on the team with a career-high 32 RBIs.
She added a career-best tying eight walks. Earlier this season,
Wolford garnered her second career All-OAC honor as she was named to the first team. She also was named to the OAC All-Tournament Team and the OAC Hitter of the Week on April 14. For her career,
Wolford has played in 120 games with 119 starts. She has a career batting average of .348 (123-of-353) with 84 RBIs, 83 runs scored, 28 doubles, 24 walks, 21 stolen bases, five triples and three homeruns.
Wolford has tallied 191 putouts and 226 assists. Off the field, she is an Academic All-OAC honoree, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Delta Chi-Omega Pre-Medical Society, Choose Ohio First Stem Scholar Mentor and the National Residence Hall, Chi Alpha Sigma and Dayton C. Miller honoraries.
Peterkoski, who garners her first career accolade, is the OAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and a first team selection. She led the conference with .515 batting average (69-for-134). Her 69 hits tied the BW single season record.
Peterkoski also ranked fifth in the OAC with 16 stolen bases.
Peterkoski recorded 25 runs batted-in (RBIs), six doubles, 101walks, and is tied for the team lead in triples with two. She was also tied for third on the team with one home run — an inside-the-park homer hit in her very first at-bat wearing the Brown and Gold. Defensively,
Peterkoski tallied 73 putouts and two assists in left field.
Lester, who earns her first career honor, appeared and started in 36 games and led the team with a career-high 42 runs batted-in.
Lester was tied for the team lead with a career-best tying two triples. She was second on the team with 15 walks and five homeruns, including a walk off grand slam.
Lester was third on the team with a .386 batting average (44-of-110) and 11 doubles. She made 10 appearances in the circle and had a 4-1 record.
Lester struck out 25 batters with 27 walks. Earlier this season,
Lester garnered her second career All-OAC honor as she was named to the first team. For her career,
Lester has appeared in 76 games with 75 starts. She has a career batting average of .381 (90-of-236) with 79 RBIs, 31 walks, 24 doubles, 12 homeruns, four triples and three stolen bases. Off the diamond,
Lester is a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
BW finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 32-6 and OAC mark of 15-1. The Yellow Jackets won the OAC regular season title for the first time in school history and advanced to its second straight NCAA Division III National Tournament.
