WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference stroker
Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) has been named the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career.
Upcraft garners her first weekly accolade after winning two individual races and being a member of a runner-up relay team as BW defeated Bluffton University in a non-conference meet and Heidelberg University in an OAC meet last Saturday.
She won the 100-yard freestyle in a season-best and career-best tying time of 58.65 and 200-yard individual medley in a season-best time of 2:23.40.
Upcraft led off the second place 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished in a time of 4:06.07.
This season, she has posted season-best times of 27.14 in the 50-yard freestyle, 1:01.16 in the 100-yard butterfly, 2:16.39 in the 200-yard butterfly, 4:58.84 in the 400-yard individual medley.
Upcraft has career-best times of 29.01 in the 50-yard butterfly, 25.44 in the 50-yard freestyle, 1:04.50 in the100-yard butterfly, 1:08.20 in the 100-yard individual medley, 2:48.43 in the 200-yard breaststroke, 2:11, 76 in the 200-yard butterfly, 2:07.37 in the 200-yard freestyle, 2:14.43 in the 200-yard individual medley, 4:50.31 in the 400-yard individual medley and 5:42.11 in the 500-yard freestyle. She is an All-OAC honoree in the 200-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relays.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, January 17 when they host an OAC and Seniors' Day meet against Ohio Northern University in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 1 p.m.
