WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University freshman women's swimming and diving freestyler
Eden Stahlin (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career.
Stahlin earns her first weekly honor after winning two individual races to lead BW to a 154-81 Ohio Athletic Conference and Seniors' Day victory over Ohio Northern University last Saturday in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
She won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:45.17 and the 1000-yard freestyle in a career-best time of 11:49.08.
Stahlin won the 500-meter by nine second over the second-place finisher and the 1000-meter by more than 75 second than the runner-up.
This season, she has season best times of 1:05.07 in the 1:14.83 in the 100-yard butterfly, 100-yard freestyle, 2:09.22 in the 200-yard freestyle, 5:38.86 in the 500-yard freestyle and 19:35.14 in the 1650-yard freestyle.
The Yellow Jackets close out the regular season on Saturday, January when they travel to Cleveland to compete in the Cleveland City Classic hosted by NCAA Division I Cleveland State University in Robert F. Busbey Natatorium at 3 p.m.
The OAC Championships will be contested February 18 through 21 inside the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.
