CLEVELAND – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team closed out the regular season as it dropped a pair of non-conference meets at the Cleveland City Classic hosted by NCAA Division I Cleveland State University inside the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium.

BW (4-7) fell to Cleveland State by a final score of 201-37 and to crosstown rival John Carroll University by a final score of 186-44.

Individuals

• Junior stroker Michael Gruber III (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) finished seventh in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 4:53.81
• Sophomore stroker Danny Murphy (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) finished eighth in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 56.05 and was ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:05.54
• Sophomore freestyler Mason Carnahan (Willard) finished ninth in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle in times of 1:57.46 and 5:25.45, respectively.
• Senior stroker Nolan Szuch (Springboro) finished ninth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58.07
• Freshman stroker Aidan Bacon (Upper Sandusky) finished ninth in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:19.58
• Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference freestyler Kevin Meyer (Mentor) finished 10th in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle in times of 24.48 and 52.82, respectively.

Diving

• Freshman Malcolm Thompson (Pittsburg, Pa./Mount Lebanon) was the runner-up in the 3-meter with 261.20 points

Relays

• The 200-yard medley unit of Szuch, Carnahan, Murphy and Gruber III finished eighth in a time of 1:45.79
• The 200-yard freestyle squad of freshman freestyler Xavier Hatfield (North Royalton), Thompson, junior freestyler Alex Cooper (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) and Bacon finished eighth in a time 1:54.40
• The 400-yard freestyle team of Meyer, Carnahan, Gruber III and Murphy finished seventh in a time of 3:29.85
