BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University baseball senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference third baseman Sean Kolenich (Parma/St Edward) has been named Yellow Jacket Athlete of the Month for February 2026.

To be considered for the monthly honor, a male or female student-athlete must have been nominated for at least one Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) weekly award in his or her respective sport. From the pool of nominees, members of the Athletic Communications staff, together with student assistants from the department's social media team, select the monthly winner.

Kolenich had an outstanding month of February for the Brown and Gold on the diamond. He had a .500 batting average with a home run, 11 RBI, and three doubles. His season and career day so far came on opening day against Alfred (Pa.). In this game, he was 6-for-7 with two doubles, a triple, drove in five, and scored three runs. In five games for the month, the only one he did not hit in was against Denison on February 27, where he was 0-for-4.

For the season to date, Kolenich has played all nine games and owns a .541/.630/1.027 slash line with three home runs, 18 RBI, five doubles, two triples, eight walks, and eight stolen bases after owning a .353/.430/.488 line last season.
