Kaylor Wins First Career Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball sophomore Morgan Kaylor has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. This is the first career OAC weekly award for Kaylor.

The defensive specialist made 63 digs through the first four matches for BW, leading the team to a 4-0 record. She is second in the OAC with a 4.50 digs/set average. Kaylor also stands at second in the OAC with 10 service aces (0.71/set). Her best match of the weekend came against Adrian College when she made 20 digs and no receiving errors.

Kaylor led BW in digs in every match during the opening week of the season. Her defensive effort has helped the Yellow Jackets establish the lowest opponent hitting percentage in the OAC at .087. The Yellow Jackets have their first undefeated start through four matches in seven seasons.

In her career, Kaylor has played 34 matches with 328 career digs and 41 service aces. She is a secondary education mathematics and English major and has been named to the Dean's List.

Women's volleyball faces the Case Western Reserve University Spartans in Cleveland, Ohio inside the Horsburgh Gymnasium tonight at 7:00 p.m.
